GEORGIA MOUNTAIN FARM TOURS
NEXT Farm Tour: Saturday October 26th. (FALL 2024)
TICKET INCLUDES TWO FARM TOURS AND ONE WORKSHOP IN HALL COUNTY, GA.
The tour will take place at two different farms, approximately 30 minutes drive from each other.
Everyone starts at the first farm and ends at the second farm.
Attendees are responsible for their own transportation and navigation (we provide a map and road signage).

Daniel of Tosta Family Farm. Farm Tour: First Generation Millennial Ranchers .
The Tosta Family raises sheep, chickens, pigs, & cows on about 50 acres. They are passionate about growing nutrient dense meat while building topsoil using rotational and regenerative practices. Daniel has a background of over a decade working in the medical field and studying sustainable food production. They have acquired and are harnessing an understanding that human health depends on the health of the ecosystems that produce our foods, especially our soils’ ecosystems. Daniel and Ashley also learned important skills such as fencing, pasture management, animal health, processing, sales & more.

Rosemary of Forest and Ether. Class: Extracting, Foraging, and Cultivating mushrooms
Rosemary is a clinical herbalist, biologist, and mycologist with a deep-rooted passion for holistic wellness and the natural world. With a background in Herbal Sciences from Bastyr University, she inspires others to cultivate a deeper connection with nature and embrace the transformative potential of herbal medicine. Phil of Hopewell Farms GA. Farm Tour: Beginning Animal Farmer
The Bonelli family is raising chickens, pigs, turkeys, and cows on 43 acres using regenerative practices. They love what they do on the farm, and love to share it with others. Recently tossing the full time banking world to the side in order to spend more time with the farm operation, Phil is "running the numbers" and finding the balance between investment and capacity of the land/community to support local food.

Important Information
THE SCHEDULE - Oct 26th, 2024
Tour two farms and enjoy a mushroom class located in Hall County. Everyone starts at 1pm at Tosta Family Farm in Gillsville, GA, and attendees are split into two groups as they check in.
Each tour/class is approximately 45 minutes long, and there will be products for sale at the end of the tour (5 - 6pm).
Starting address, directions, and further schedule details will be sent to attendees closer to the date.
YOU’RE THE DRIVER
This is a drive-yourself style farm tour! Starting farm address will be sent via email to ticket holders. Brochures with directions, map overview, and farm info will be given at check in.
Having a designated and trusted navigator beside the driver is recommended. We will be in rural areas where service and GPS routes need to be accompanied by attention and written directions, not just following the person in front of you.
PIT STOPS & RESTROOMS
We recommend using bathrooms before arrival. We will also have a few pit stops suggestions listed in the brochure located between farms to help you stay comfortable. There is "rustic" farm bathroom at Hopewell Farms.
BRING SOME SNACKS… & PLENTY OF WATER
While we will be around farms, we are not expecting substantial prepared foods for purchase this time. Feel free to bring some snacks or even pack a picnic to enjoy after the final tour. Don’t forget your blanket!
FAMILY FRIENDLY
We want every generation to experience small working farms and the atmosphere of food grown for the community by REAL PEOPLE. Those 12 years or younger can come free of charge. ALL attendees under 18 years of age need to be accompanied by a legal guardian to sign waiver.
THERE WILL BE ANIMALS
There are animals incorporated into this farm tour; You might see chickens, sheep, dogs, cows, and pigs. Please use utmost caution and care around all farm animals. Never assume they are meant to be approached, pet, or fed without explicit directions from the farmer.
NO PETS allowed when visiting farms.
ACCESSIBILITY IS LIMITED
During each 45-minute farm tour, there is uneven ground, gravel, and potential mud. Please be advised; limited seating is provided unless you bring your own portable chair, or let us know of your needs ahead of time. Please indicate your accessibility considerations when purchasing tickets and call Andrew at 770-five30-3287 if needed.
STICK TOGETHER
These are guided tours around working farms. Please stay with your guide and group. Some areas/animals might not be included in the tour.
RAIN OR SHINE!
Weather looks great for the tour but bring plenty of water! Attendees will be notified by email by 5:30pm Friday October 25th if any unforeseen circumstances require cancellation.
Only ticket holders who sign the Farm Tour Release Waiver will be given access to farms.
