HOW IT WORKS

Grab a bite to eat from Gonzo Gourmet Farm to Table Food Truck (serving from 12:30-1:30). Check in at bright green tent to receive brochure for the day with map and other important info. After lunch, announcements, and your first farm stop is assigned, you'll head to the two farms in your own vehicle (carpooling highly encouraged if possible). There will be a lead car and a sweep car to help, but it is up to each driver to get to the next farm by the time the tour begins. Tours begin at specific times and registered guests will be able to tour both farms and enjoy mushroom presentation! A printed brochure, map, and cell support will be available throughout the tour but please note that cell reception is not guaranteed while visiting these wonderful farms!

FARM TOUR GOALS

What makes the Georgia Mountains Farm Tour special, is the kinds of farms we select for tours. These farms are not typically open to the public because they are small working farms with limited time and manpower. You may see them at many of the local farmers market in the area, which we encourage everyone to support. We also do our best to select farms who grow food without synthetic chemicals. We feel this is difficult to find 'round here, but an important practice for so many reasons including healthier people and clean water. Our main goals are to:

Help local residents learn who, why, when, and where local food comes from

Connect folks with those currently producing food in your community

Provide authentic experiences on working farms with sustainable practices

IMPORTANT

No Pets allowed

Attendees will be required to sign a Farm Tour Release Waiver before visiting farms

To maintain biosecurity and for the safety of the livestock GA Sky Farm is asking not to participate in the farm tour if you recently visited Southern California, if you visited any foreign country with the last 7 days prior to the day of the tour. Please do not visit any type of local farm with livestock 24 hours prior to arriving to our farm.

Parking is very limited at Farms. Please help out by meeting and offering to ride together at the start location. Everyone should plan to return to the start location.
